Below is an x-ray of this specimen. The nearby leaf (not visible on the x-ray) was chewed, probably by a leaf-cutter bee. The lizard is so well-preserved that its fine toe bones are visible in the x-ray. It broke its back in two places -- perhaps while struggling to free itself from the resin.
