About the Objects

See explanation below

The skeleton of an adult male (L) wrapped in an envelope of cloth (A) was found on a plaited reed mat (G) inside the cave. Under the skeleton were his sandals (J) and a long flint knife (K). In front of the bundle, a coiled basket (F), a wooden bowl (H), a stick (I), and two matching pieces of a bow (D) with the remains of arrows (E) were uncovered. Two additional textiles (B, C) -- dress or wrapping items -- were recovered from inside the textile envelope during conservation. All items were stained with red ocher.
