The American Museum of Natural History has opened a special exhibition shop in conjunction with the groundbreaking exhibition Dinosaurs: Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries, on view May 14, 2005, through January 8, 2006. Located adjacent to the exhibition, the Dinosaurs Exhibition Shop features an appealing collection of items, including small plastic dinosaur models, coffee mugs with dinosaur motifs, plush dinosaur toys, puzzles, children's rain gear, and books and multimedia.
DON'T MISS: Visitors to the Dinosaurs Exhibition Shop will get a rare view of the beloved Stegosaurus weathervane created by artist John Stark that has perched atop the American Museum of Natural History since 1974. This whimsical weathervane, crafted from pitch-black aluminum and measuring thirty inches high and four feet long, can be clearly seen through porthole-shaped windows in the Dinosaurs Exhibition Shop. Fans can even purchase miniature replicas of the weathervane to take home.
